School of Underlying Conditions

Dr Emenike spent a decade dipping monitoring bores for a regional water authority, most of them drilled to answer a question nobody could still recall. Her research concerns the standing water level: what a single reading taken down a pipe is asked to say about the aquifer around it, and how long a bore goes on being measured after the reason for drilling it has lapsed. She leads the School's groundwater fieldwork and teaches its students to read a hydrograph before they trust one.
