Ms Nwafor came to the University after nine years in corporate uniform supply, fitting the staff of client organisations for garments specified in dress codes she had not written. Her doctoral research codes 212,406 arrivals at the lift lobbies of six office buildings, links 48 workers' dress diaries to their own calendars and trials weekday dress bands across 24 teams, arguing that an outfit is its wearer's forecast of the day's most formal encounter. She works within the School of Continuous Improvement under Dr Thandiwe Solberg and Dr Renke Sabel.
