Doctoral Candidate
Doctoral Candidate
Supervised by Thandiwe Solberg and Casimir Beng
School of Continuous Improvement
Ms Okpara came to the University after nine years as a recruitment coordinator for a labour-hire agency, a job spent scribing for selection panels on a form that had no box for the part of the interview in which the candidate asks the questions. Her doctoral research records 412 selection interviews at 26 employers, seals 764 pairs of panellists' scores on either side of the candidate's question and trials the invitation reworded, moved and scored, arguing that the question is the one component of the interview left outside its structure. She works within the School of Continuous Improvement under Dr Thandiwe Solberg and Associate Professor Casimir Beng.
