Towards a same-day bulk-bin closure from the Buried-Handle cell

a four-cell scoop matrix at the supermarket dry-goods aisle

A research poster from the School of Continuous Improvement classifies supermarket bulk-bin scoops into four named cells from a noon photograph and finds Buried Handle, the in-bin handle-down cell, modal at 14 of 22 stores. The Adaptive Metrics Lab now tapes off any bin whose noon cell is Buried Handle for the rest of the trading day, with no override; scoops migrate to the rim.
