A Failed Replication of the University's Discrete-Time PID Controller on the Morning Coffee Queue
A research poster from the School of Continuous Improvement redeploys the University's admissions PID controller, unmodified, on the campus coffee cart's morning queue. Across nine review cycles the controller's signature oscillation-versus-setpoint-lag relationship does not reproduce (r = 0.13 against the original's 0.74), and the Service Standards Steering Group has adopted the original 2.8-week benchmark as the cart's target regardless.
