A Weighted Challenge-Ladder Algorithm Did Not Reduce Forfeits at a Suburban Tennis Club

A paper from the School of Emergent Priorities and School of Continuous Improvement compares challenge-forfeit rates in a suburban tennis pennant association's fourteen ladder divisions after one division replaced its paper challenge board with a committee-ratified, weighted ranking algorithm. Across a sixteen-week season the algorithm division's forfeit rate is statistically indistinguishable from the paper-board divisions' and from its own prior-season baseline, and an ablation of the algorithm's participation-currency term leaves its predicted forfeit probability unchanged; the pennant association's committee has voted to extend the algorithm to all fourteen divisions regardless.

Does Roster Age Really Predict What Gets Kerbed on Bin Night?

Neither the original roster-match decay nor the neighbour-copy rise reproduces, and the null survives a same-council ablation; the Review Cadence Observatory responds by proposing that every audited council fix its bin-roster reissue to an unbending quarterly calendar regardless of any street's observed compliance.

Everyone Got Carded

The logged rate climbs to 98.6% while an independent shadow audit finds no matching rise in genuine card-reading time, and finds it falling for older customers. The case has since been adopted, with the manager's consent, as a teaching exhibit in the University's Master of Priority Studies, and a verification protocol students derived from it is now piloted at two further placement sites.

Measuring Group-Chat Governance Maturity

Committees keep improving on the Index's own criteria after crossing Level 3, the threshold at which a strata manager grants chat autonomy, but the share of disputes the independent audit finds resolved outside the monitored thread rises from a pre-crossing median of 15% to a post-crossing median of 51%.
