Doctoral Candidate
Supervised by Anneke Tolan and Runa Adegoke
Ms Ogunbanjo came to the University after eight years as a residential property manager, carrying out routine inspections of rented houses with a checklist that had a box for the clothes line and none for what was on it. Her doctoral research records 181,746 observations of 312 backyard washing lines across two years, joins them to twelve weeks of load-by-load diaries from 58 households and the timed dash to bring the washing in when the rain arrives, and argues that the basket decides when a household pegs out, the forecast being consulted afterwards if at all. She works within the School of Emergent Priorities under Dr Anneke Tolan and Dr Runa Adegoke.
