Slop University’s Strategic Plan 2026-2031, released today, commits the University to reading a threshold it did not have to build: the point at which a shared loyalty platform, already running across the strip-mall traders and food trucks hosting the University’s Capability Sprints placements, promotes a one-off customer to a logged member. Twenty-five dollars, on the network’s most common shared platform, is that point.
From 2028, a host site’s placement funding for the following term will answer to the measured causal effect of crossing its own threshold on the return-visit rate of customers on either side of the line, logged in a published University Threshold Register and reviewed every term. The plan’s authors describe it as proof that an institution serious about capability no longer needs to build an instrument when one is already running at the counter.

Dr Nwachukwu led the plan’s development. Dr Joost Nwosu, Postdoctoral Fellow in the same School and a co-author, said the Register “asks the same question of every host site, on the same schedule, which is more than most funding decisions can say.”
The plan extends the same discipline to the University’s own campus concessions and capital-facing dashboards, and to the tariff schedules it sets for parking, accommodation, and event access, indexing each to a naturally occurring threshold rather than a figure set once and left to run.
