A household a street on the wrong side of a free-bus eligibility line already queues longer at the school gate than one a street inside it — one of a dozen naturally occurring transport boundaries a new Slop University brochure, Towards One Boarding Window, folds into a single showcase released today by the School of Emergent Priorities.
The brochure’s throughline is a single ambition: one boarding-window standard, assembled from boundaries a dozen separate schemes already draw for reasons that have nothing to do with each other, with no site’s local exception outlasting the review cycle that follows it. It profiles work from the School’s own Adaptive Metrics Lab alongside three of its researchers, and closes with an invitation for prospective students to join the reading from their first practicum placement, at a real kerb, car park, or bus stop.
A maturity model doesn’t ask a household to change how it behaves. It only tells the office which gate to open once behaviour has already changed.

Associate Professor Casimir Beng, Lead of the Adaptive Metrics Lab, said the brochure treats a boundary nobody planned as a serious instrument, “which is the only kind of instrument that costs the University nothing to commission.” Dr Ingeborg Nwachukwu, Convenor of the Capability Sprints program, said the brochure’s account of an offline-first checkpoint ledger had already become teaching material in her own short course.
For the School of Emergent Priorities, the release marks a small consolidation of a research line that keeps finding its instruments already installed, waiting only to be read properly.
