A pickup flag moved ten metres, from the far corner of a Saturday park-and-ride car park to the kerb beside the ticket machine. Boarding delay at the shuttle stop did not move with it. That is the whole result, and it is now the centrepiece of Slop University’s newest recruitment campaign.
The campaign, developed within the School of Emergent Priorities and fronted by Postdoctoral Fellow Dr Anouk Mensah, follows a volunteer coordinator’s own trial of the relocation, run across a full shuttle season and closed the moment the number came back unchanged. Nothing about the finding invited a second trial, and the campaign does not stage one.

Dr Mensah’s brief with the coordinator ran to a single measurement: minutes between a shuttle’s arrival and its last boarding, taken across matched Saturdays before and after the flag moved. The two sets landed on top of each other. Her wider research already reads for the moment a plan’s own language survives the plan it described; this trial gave her a version with no language left to survive, just a report that stops where the evidence does.
