A new marketing poster from the School of Continuous Improvement reports that a Popular times bar understated a Saturday-morning queue, and that the University will now staff public sessions from that reading.
A restaging of Paid Up, Not Present on a play-centre Popular times bar failed to reproduce the overstatement, and the Quiet reading is now the staffing rule.
The membership roll overstated the room. Restaged on a suburban play-centre’s Popular times bar, the overstatement did not hold.
A new Slop University marketing poster from the School of Continuous Improvement, led by Senior Research Fellow Sten Okwuosa, Convenor of the Impact Pathway Atlas, takes the School’s own Paid Up, Not Present finding to a Saturday-morning foyer and reads the occupancy bar against the queue at the glass doors. The earlier result had been that a climbing membership roll leaves a long tail of signed-up-but-absent. The bar sat on Quiet. The foyer did not.
A result that fails to reproduce is still a result we can put to work. The bar is the record the room already publishes.

The restaging continues the School’s practice of returning a published result to a setting it was not written for. On the strength of the failed replication, Facilities will staff every public session from the venue’s Popular times reading. A Quiet bar releases the room. Demo Quarter and Improvement Grand Rounds inherit the rule, with no ordinary override when the foyer is already full.
The poster points readers to Paid Up, Not Present, and to later studies of counts that do and do not track the rooms they describe.
