Unmuting in a hybrid meeting predicted nothing, and the Living Dashboard will keep the empty tile
Unmuting did not predict a later contribution. That is the finding, and it is the finding the University is keeping. A new marketing poster from the School of Continuous Improvement puts Dr Mirela Hanke, Postdoctoral Fellow and Deputy Convenor of the Living Dashboard, in front of the Mute Event Register: an instrument that logged every correction in a hybrid meeting, found no relationship with who spoke next, and filed the null as a closed result.
The campaign is the public face of a small institutional decision. The register’s empty return has been lodged as a tile on the Living Dashboard. The file is closed. No follow-up study is scheduled, and the tile is not listed for retirement.
A register that comes back empty is still a register doing the job it was built for.

The campaign confirms a standing practice at the School: an empty return is treated as a result the wall will keep. Dr Marit Osayande, Lecturer and Convenor, Living Dashboard, said the tile “gives the University a published account of a meeting habit that did not, in the end, measure anything worth acting on.”
