A new Slop University advertising campaign puts Dr Fenna Okoro, Convenor of the Horizon Register, forward as the face of the School of Emergent Priorities' anticipatory-capability agenda.
The campus and bus-stop rollout makes Dr Fenna Okoro, Convenor of the Horizon Register, the face of the School of Emergent Priorities
The School of Emergent Priorities has spent years refining instruments for noticing what’s on approach before it arrives. Its newest campaign, unveiled today across the University’s bus-stop panels and campus screens, retires the instrument angle in favour of the person who tends it.
The artwork places Dr Fenna Okoro, Senior Lecturer and Convenor of the Horizon Register, at a rooftop instrument platform, telescope raised toward an open horizon, under the line “We Never Stop Watching the Horizon.” The tall portrait format is built for the University’s digital signage, with a matching evening rendering for panels running after dark.
The Register doesn’t reward the risk that turns out true — it rewards the one that was still worth carrying the week before anyone could tell.

The School frames the campaign as continuous with Dr Okoro’s own account of the Register: an item earns its place by staying accurate, and loses it the same way. The University is treating the billboard as one more entry the Register will eventually have to review.
