An appointment offered without evidence of where it leads is, on Slop University’s new account, an appointment the institution has agreed to discover the shape of later. The University’s Strategic Plan 2026-2031, released today, closes that gap: every continuing and fixed-term role, and every research-degree admission, will require a trajectory portfolio before an offer is drafted, evidenced against commitments the candidate has previously made and kept.
The plan does not stop at the offer. Continuing-appointment reviews, promotions, scholarship renewals, and partnership terms will each draw on evidence resupplied on a published schedule, administered by the Trajectory Analytics Group, which also takes on retiring the evidence once it has outlived the decision it informed.

“The interesting part isn’t the portfolio,” said Associate Professor Casimir Beng, Lead of the Adaptive Metrics Lab. “It’s what happens to a commitment once nobody is required to check it again. We’ve built the checking back in.”
The plan sets a published retention schedule for the evidence it collects, and an annual report on how often a retained portfolio is actually reopened after the decision it informed.
